Uhhh… apparently there’s more lyrics to the song!??! And to think I wrote an entire post based off of only a few lines. Oops 🤣

I was watching the 2025 Ambience Synesthesia concert and when it got to the song Broken Sun, I noticed it is much longer than the other version! I like it a lot!!!

After hearing the longer version of this song, I feel even more of a resonance and connection to it. It seems like a pretty accurate description of the journey that I’ve been on thus far. It sounds to me like a song about facing our shadows and emerging stronger than before, and that we’re all in this together. No matter how bad things get, no matter how dark the world seems, we will continue to be beacons for each other. Never completely lost, never completely forgotten. As long as we keep aiming towards the future that we want, we should be fine. Never letting the darkness snuff out our inner radiance.

Storyteller & Echoism:
I really like the magical melody of Storyteller. It’s sweet and delicate, almost fairytale-like. And for Echoism, I have written a post about it that I will publish at some point in the near future (fingers crossed!) that explains why the song is so meaningful to me. That event in the game really touched my heart as it had to do with deep soul connections and the connection that remains even when not physically present.

Whistle Stop:
This one is Logo’s theme song. What I like about him is he’s strong as heck XD. I do love my meta units as they make life so much easier lol. I do NOT enjoy micromanaging in my games where I need to know when to be ready to swap in units left and right. I enjoy plunking down those beastly overpowered units and letting them do their thing. Shine my little units, shine!!! Bring us to victory with your powerful little booties!!!!!!! 💪

I think for the longest time, Logos was the top rated unit on the Chinese servers and he still might be?! I believe he’s up there as well on the global servers, which is where I have my accounts. He’s so strong that often times he can solo/duo easier content lol. Luckily for me, I was able to max out his potential and have him fully decked out in my main account. He’s one of my favorite units!

What’s interesting about Logos is that he uses words to cast incantations onto his enemies. This kind of reminds me of my own use of words, except instead of using it to attack enemies, I suppose I use my words to both transform shadows and to uplift those that they come into contact with. So I guess I feel a bit of kinship with him?

Song of Fools:
This song totally reminds me of Pirates of the Caribbean lol. Like, all I can see is Jack Sparrow’s face whenever I listen to it XD. I think this song amps me up because it’s from the event that was running in Arknights when I first started the game, so it holds special memories for me. This song reminds me of my total beginner days when the game was super difficult for me because I was still learning how to play and had practically no resources. I couldn’t even finish the event lol. I think the best I got was like stage 4 out of 10 or whatever the max was? I wasn’t able to touch the more difficult stages (EX modes) at all. That was around a year and a half ago. Now I can go and beat them up silly MWAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA 😈

Me buff Pikachu, me beat up Arknights sea creatures. RWARRRRRRRR!!! *beats chest 🤣 

Magnificent Landscape, Into the Wilds, Here in Vernal Terrene:
These songs are from the event that introduced Shu, one of the Sui Gods siblings. She’s known as being very attentive and nurturing and by now you might’ve noticed that I have a weakness for things that are nurturing 😩. Yes, please nurture me! Me likey! Shu uses her skills to be of service to others, tending the fields and helping her community. A really sweet God lady!

At the time, I didn’t have very strong “healing” tanks and was in deep need of one as I wasn’t able to clear a lot of the more difficult content easily without one. When her banner arrived, I ended up going crazy on it and maxed her out to her full potential. To date, Shu is one of my strongest tanks and favorite units and I bring her to every battle!

Oddly enough, I didn’t have to spend too much as I had a lot of resources saved up knowing that she was on the way. The benefit of being a global player is that we get a sneak peak of what’s coming based off of what’s released in CN servers (we’re around 6 months behind on content). So this makes planning how to manage resources much easier. I know which upcoming units I want and just stock up on resources until their banners arrive. Whenever I hear stories about people spending $8k~ on games like Genshin just to max out ONE character, I’m completely horrified! What the heck. Maybe those people have terribly bad luck? That’s another reason why I love Arknights so much — if I plan properly, and with a bit of luck, I can spend substantially less and usually get all of the things that I want. Imagine a gacha game that isn’t trying to fleece their player base and actually cares if their players enjoy the content, that’s Arknights for me. I am DONE with predatory gacha games. Will not touch them at all.

The funny thing is Shu has these “rice paddies” that she can spread across the battlefield that regenerates the health points of those who are standing on them. But when you put her in a water map, the color of her rice paddies, mixed with the color of the water, makes it look like she peed in da pool lol. People call them “piss tiles” for a reason 🤣 

The Sui God squad is my favorite team. They’re so fun to use and have so many synergistic benefits. When the siblings are together, they amplify each other’s powers in various ways that make the entire squad even stronger. I am SO close to reuniting the entire Sui family, just missing one unit atm, and will definitely get her before the current event ends. Just a few more days!!!

Anyway, hope you enjoyed some of the music! I’m always so amazed with Arknights’ concerts as they appear extremely well produced and so visually appealing and engaging. Are most game concerts this well done and gorgeous? 🤔

P.S. This part of the concert is my absolute favorite, when Shu dances on top of the water with the ethereal flying birds(?) and nature is blossoming all around her. Where there’s love and care, life flourishes! And the way she ends the dance — floating up and then sitting on that branch — it’s so mesmerizing to me! 😍😍😍😍
