AHMAAAAAGAWD I just found out the FFT remake announcement was made!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I used to play Final Fantasy Tactics sooooooooooooooooooooo much back in the day. I remember my neighbors introducing this game to me and I was immediately hooked. Countless hours spent in front of the TV as a kid trying to figure out what this game was about. I think this is the game that introduced me to the strategy genre and one of the reasons why I like Arknights so much even though they’re slightly different β one is turn based while the other is more active playstyle.
I thought the little characters walking in place were super cute and that being able to strategize how my team would go reach the objectives (e.g. eliminate the other team) was quite the adventure! I was also incredibly bad at the game and was scared playing it often, had zero idea how to build up my team, and so it was a huge struggle back then. I remember seeing GAME OVER so many times and going like AHHHHHHHHHHH and immediately restarting the console to reload my last game save to try again lol. I had to borrow my neighbors’ game saves to play off of their progress so that I could see what was further down in the game in later chapters lmao. I loved all of the easter eggs that the game had as well. I really miss the days when games were this well developed and had so much depth. Definitely an ultra high quality game IMO.
This game brings back so many good memories!!! During the 10 year anniversary, I ended up getting the War of the Lions version for both my PSP and iPhone. I eventually learned how to build up characters properly to form a strong team and so the game became a lot more fun for me. The infinite amount of possibilities was probably my favorite part where each play through was a whole different experience. So many hours sunken into this game and every time it was worth it. If I stop blogging when the game is released you will know why!!!!!!!! Someone please remind me to eat and sleep when this game comes out πππ
